Your kitchen does more than hold the coffee maker. It’s where your family lands after work, where weekend mornings slow down a little, and where neighbors end up when you only meant to invite them in for a minute. If yours feels cramped, dated, or just out of sync with how you actually live, you’re in the right place.
Interiors by Jayme is a family-owned, full-service general contractor with a design showroom in nearby Burien. We’ve been remodeling kitchens across South King County since 1960, and Auburn homeowners have always been a big part of who we serve.
Most of the Auburn clients we meet fall into a few groups. Some bought a solid rambler on the West Hill and want to open up the wall between the kitchen and the living room. Others live in a newer two-story near Lakeland Hills and want to swap builder-grade finishes for something with more character and better function. A few are longtime homeowners in the neighborhoods around Game Farm Park who finally have the time, and the green light, to redo the kitchen the right way.
What they share is a desire for craftsmanship that holds up and a remodel process they don’t have to manage themselves. That’s the lane we live in.
Every project is different, but a typical kitchen remodel from our team covers the design, the materials, and the construction under one roof. That usually includes:
Because we’re a design-build shop, you’re not chasing a separate designer, contractor, and three subcontractors around. One team. One plan. One point of contact.
Auburn has its own personality. The older homes near Les Gove Park carry a different style than the newer builds out by Lake Tapps or up on the ridge above the valley. We’ve been designing kitchens for this area long enough to know the difference, and to plan around it.
A few things our Auburn clients tell us they appreciate:
You’re hiring people who plan to be here, and still answering the phone, long after the last tile is set.
If you’re moving plumbing, changing electrical, or altering the structure, yes. The City of Auburn requires permits for that kind of work, and we pull them and coordinate inspections as part of our service. Cosmetic-only refreshes often don’t need permits, but we’ll confirm based on your specific scope.
Cost depends on size, layout changes, cabinetry choice, countertop material, and finish level. After your free in-home or showroom consultation, you get a written proposal with itemized pricing, so you know exactly what you’re paying for and why.
Yes. We regularly work in Lea Hill, West Hill, Lakeland Hills, and the surrounding communities, as well as nearby cities like Kent, Federal Way, and Renton.
